Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-07-19 · Version 1.2

Website Privacy Policy — how Therapy Aligned LLC collects and uses information through www.therapy-aligned.com.

Scope — What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through our website (for example, when you submit an inquiry form or browse the site).

It does not govern your health information. Protected health information (PHI) and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment records that we create or maintain as your provider are governed by our separate Notice to Patients / Notice of Privacy Practices, which describes your rights under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Where this Policy and that Notice both touch the same information, the Notice controls for clinical records.

Please do not include detailed health information — such as diagnoses, medications, or substance use details — in our public inquiry form. Clinical intake is completed after you receive our Notice to Patients, through our secure client portal, not through the public website form.

Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you submit an inquiry or waitlist form, we collect your name, contact details, and the general reason for your inquiry.

Information collected automatically. Standard web server logs may collect your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.

How We Use Information

We use this information to respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, and process waitlist requests. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies, Analytics, and Your Choices

When you first visit our website, a privacy banner lets you accept or decline non-essential services. You can change your choices at any time using the "Privacy choices" link at the bottom of any page.

On-device preferences (always on). The site stores small settings in your browser — such as text size, saved wiki articles and notebooks, and your sign-in session. These stay on your device and are not used to identify or track you.

Anonymous page counts (always on). We keep first-party, cookie-free counts of page views (the page visited, the referring site, and device type). No IP address, name, or other identifier is collected or stored, so these counts identify no one.

Analytics (with your consent). Our homepage uses Ahrefs Web Analytics, a third-party analytics service, to help us understand general site usage. It does not run unless you accept analytics.

Video embeds (with your consent). Some Clinical Wiki articles include video introductions from YouTube's privacy-enhanced player. If you decline, a video loads only when you click it. Loading a video connects your browser to YouTube (Google).

You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

Our intake and inquiry forms are hosted by Google LLC (Google Workspace), configured for HIPAA and covered by a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Because we treat substance use disorder, any vendor that handles SUD records is also engaged under a Qualified Service Organization Agreement (QSOA) as 42 CFR Part 2 requires.

Our website is hosted by Netlify.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect information submitted through our website. Inquiry forms are processed on HIPAA-configured Google Workspace under a signed BAA. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

Your Choices and Rights

Website information. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you that was collected through this website (for example, inquiry-form data) by contacting us below.

Your treatment records. Your rights regarding your clinical records — including the right to access, amend, request an accounting of disclosures, request restrictions, and revoke a consent or authorization — are described in our Notice to Patients / Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. A request to delete "personal information" through this website does not delete clinical records, which we retain and protect as required by law.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. We will post the updated Policy on this website with a new effective date.
